Just practicing taking footage for interviews. Went to Pantry 1 and met Badari Prasad, a nice guy who works there.

Lehigh's new circle

I've seen it! It really does exist!

Lehigh University has put in a brand-spankin' new throwing circle over on Goodman Campus. Hip hip hooray! It will be nice to have some pretty, sparkly new concrete to pratice and compete off of.

Hoping to try it out this week, fingers crossed!

HAMMER THROWING!!

I've decided to blog about throwing. Hurray! So, as I said before, my specialty is the hammer throw. But what good is telling you that if you may not know what it is?



I wish I could say the girl in the video was me. Alas, it is not. But I hope to throw as far as her some day soon!

Blog topic consideration

We have to pick a topic for our blogs, which we will be keeping up throughout the semester (and hopefully beyond!). I haven't quite decided what mine should be yet... I have a few ideas.

One idea I have is to blog about throwing. That's part of the sport of track and field, in case you didn't know. I throw for the Lehigh University track and field team. My specialty is the hammer throw, a 4-kilogram metal ball attached to a two-foot wire, which I then spin around and chuck as far as I can out of a concrete circle.

Or perhaps I could blog about movies. I watch plenty of them, though I don't get to the theatre very often anymore. I was thinking I could blog about "CSI: Miami," my sole television obsession, but then again enough people in the cyber world already read far too much of me gushing over Jonathan Togo.

We shall see what we shall see. I'll have my topic picked out in a matter of days. Stay tuned for more!

First Day of Multimedia

Today is the first day of J198: Multimedia Reporting at Lehigh University!! We were sent outside with our shiny new cameras to practice interviewing people, and here's what I came up with.
